I totally agree but the SC is only concerned with whether something is constitutional or not, not whether the consequences are good or bad.

In a letter from Abraham Lincoln to (Col.) William F. Elkins, Nov. 21, 1864.
"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. As a result of the war, corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed.

Remarkable! Lincoln recognized this corrupting influence even before US fortune 500 companies accrued assets in excess of many nations GDPs.

Nonsense. The decision was sound. Freedom of speech is freedom of speech even if you do not like the source or the source's agenda.

The decision can at once be sound on the basis of law and the Constitution and at the same time not good for our democracy.
