This play happened on April 30, 1988
Pete was upset with me on the call and eventually got thrown out for his temper tantrum :) He was fined $10,000 and suspended for 30 days for his actions...

  • With all due respect, I read your book. What you did was a moral sin by crossing picket lines. Did you think you and Fred Brocklander were goign to be treated nicely for what you two did? I was a former umpire on the Division I college level and was approached to be a replacement umpire in the past. I had to refuse, especially being a union worker, myself.

Did you deserve to get shoved by Pete Rose? But crossing picket lines, one should expect tp be ostracized and treated poorly.

  • @iflyacrj and now you know what a moral sin is!!

you think it was moral for them to give me an ultimatium...take the job now or you will never make it, after spending 8years making basically no money and trying to get to the top...no way...

  • Just remember how some people get their positions, by crossing picket lines

  • @iflyacrj and you also have to know the WHOLE story before you make any kind of judgement...if you are a fair person....

  • And Marty Brennaman said Cub fans are obnoxious? He must have forgot about this!

  • @ryno23gocubs The Detroit fans showed the world what common decency is truly all about!!

  • You blew the call by delaying it. You can act as a martyr and pretend to be concerned with "fairness", but you still blew it. And it looks like you touched him. "He actually use a finger nail clipper to scratch his face after the game so it would look like I did!!" Yeah, I'm sure you were right there when he did, so of course you're not lying.

  • Don't u think this is a little self-serving on your part, putting this up???

  • @davepallonedotcom Like in 1984 when they rioted and burned cars? Selective memory.

  • Hey Pallone, you're a piece of work.........try humbling YOURSELF

  • Esasky messed up. Umpire didn't keep him from throwing the ball.

  • @depant77 Is there an echo in here? You must love failing. XD

  • @misOBGYNist If that's your best, you fail.

  • Bet you don't have the expressed written permission of MLB to redistribute and rebroadcast this video.

  • @depant77 Contradictory. Reaching. Excuses. FAIL AGAIN. ; )

  • I learned in little league that you don't wait for the umpire to make a call. Esasky still had a shot at the plate and he became a spectator.

  • @misOBGYNist I gave one post and then I gave another. No fail.

  • @depant77 That's not what you said. Fail.
