I got an idea for saving plastic cups, it involves 7-11 or AM/PM... do refills on the cup only, save the cup at home, bring it out for another refill.

@fitzymitch1 What you are talking about is human innovation and technology fixing all our problems. The only issue is that there is NO GUARANTEE that the future will solve our problems. If history is anything to go by, technology has done more damage then solved environmental problems. Technocracy at its worst. Global change starts with the individual.

Tony tony settle down mate, obviously a massive plastic island in the pacific is NOT ideal. But the facts are, it is there. Simply hating humans or wishing the extinction of humans is beyond childish, and suggests mental health issues... The BEST way to recycle plastics, is to AVOID consuming plastic products. Usually they constitute the recipients of such products. There are alternatives as glass, metal and bio-degradable materials. ALSO, to better RECYCLE one can decrease the consuming level from EXAGGERATED and FUTILE to NECESSARY and PRAGMATIC.
