I came here after watching "Milva - Mon Dieu". I still say that Milva is the best classical chanteuse after Edith Piaf. She has great dynamic range and control like Edith but she also a better voice, vibrato, light and shade. Edith had better rhythm (e.g. Milord) and put more feeling (Mon Dieu). Milva is singing more to entertain and cannot relate in the same way to us through feelings in the song as Edith. I have heard "divas", French and foreign, singing Piaf. Nobody does better than Milva.
