On trhe contrary, the turnout was wildly over the numbers that the organisers had originally expected. They thought 2,000 might show, but closer to 15-20,000 were there, so many that not all of us could squeeze into Whitehall to hear the speakers. Even papers like the Independent and BBc news reported upwards of 12,000 on the day. I know, because I was there. Were you?

How can you respect the Pope who turns his eyes away from children being sodomised and has files full of information he could hand over to the Police forces world wide. @stbridgetscross Peter Tatchell refuses to accept that some people are offended by homosexuality be it through culture, religion, upbringing or otherwise. But are you seriously saying Catholic Priests have 'justified' sexual abuse of children? can you name a single Priest, anywhere in the world who has 'justified' such acts? What statistics do you have to justify your claim that 'child abuse is widespread' in the Catholic church?, such perversions are no more prevalent in the Catholic church than any other church. And are you saying if a Gay man gave up his sin and confessed his sins to the Pope is no good?
