I don't understand ethnic pride. Or gender pride, etc. Why have pride in something you had no hand in? I mean it's cool to love and have great interest in your heritage, I get that. But pride should be saved for great achievements not for how you happened to be pooped out. ;) Just my personal opinion. Funny vid though.

@DemonVonKitchenSink I love that you said "pooped out!" People have pride in things they didn't have a hand in, even in little things like enjoying your natural hair color/texture, your ability to sing, your talents and skills that come naturally, etc. Heritage and gender are HUGE factors in a person's identity. I grew up in a very Greek house and I am proud to come from such a rich and tumultuous culture. I love seeing others from strong cultural upbringings really embrace where they came from.

@gnrqueen You are so sweet! I wish there was something I could say about them, but the only thing I do on a (somewhat) daily basis is take a rigid angled eyeshadow brush and sweep some black eyeshadow through my brows, just to fell them in a little. The shape comes from genetics and from going to get them professionally threaded (it's like brow waxing, but they use thread) every few weeks. I actually used to shave off my eyebrows and draw them on however I wanted. I'm glad I grew them back!
