The All British 'Zephyr' Antique Oscillating Electric Fan

This is what is referred to as an 'Orbital' oscillating fan. Watch and you will know why. Although no mention is made anywhere on thiese fans, they were indeed manufactured by The Veritys Co. of Birmingham during the early to mid 1930's. This particular fan was sold under the name "the Seamless Metallic Tube And Pipe Co. and is the earliest known example. The overall condition is near mint with all original paint and copper plated blade, cage and hardware. With an adjustment to by loosening the wing nut at the neck and sliding the the C- framethe fan could be mounted to a wall or even a ceiling. Ingenious.

I would imagine as much as a Menominee Electric bank teller fan of the straight blade variety, which to my knowledge is the most valuable American-made fan.
