i actually never beat this game when i had it for ps2 i got too frustrated with it and now i have the remake for ps3 and im determined to beat it this time

Weird... On the Hd remake. In the room were you have to jump there is a save spot where that lever is... And the lever is up on the spot where you climb to with the chain...

@lucahjin If the demons are Yōkai, could the boy be half human/half Yōkai? How likely is it that the girl is a kami (or human kami hybrid--i'm not very familiar with Japanese folklore lol) or at least themed off of Yuki Onna?

I didn't know you could bring Yorda along on the cart ride. Of course, this was before I realized I could help her up ledges.

'Ee-co' is definitely the correct way to pronouce the name of this game, if anybody looks at the japanese ads for this game (available here on Youtube), you'll hear it. Just us Westerners are used to prounouncing 'I' as 'Eye', so a lot of people on this side of the world prounounce it (incorrectly) as 'Eye-co'. And the girl's name is Yorda, if anybody still doesn't know...the Queen mentions it a bit later on....
