It is not the religion that is the poison. Religion is just when people of like minds come together in worship God. The real poison is all of the distortions about Who that God is and what that God is about. I believe that that God, however someone wants to believe, will be making things very clear soon, and show there was only one way to believe, which is what all of the religions say, but have a distorted view of their own belief.

Religion IS a poison! Like the neocons, religion uses fear to trap people into that lie. Oh yes, we've all heard the moronic rant: "Jesus is coming." You are a crackpot! What will wipe out humans is our continued destruction of the planet. Nature takes care of itself (AIDS, cancer, drug resistant viruses etc.). Humans are an invading organism to other life forms, obliterating at whim! Nature will correct this just like it did with the ever-consuming dinosaurs!

to be fair israel is not dependent on us, they fought in 4 wars against all of their neighbors since it became a state in 1947. and they are our ally but just because their our ally does not mean we cannot critizize their policys and go to war. in fact we would endanger israel if we attacked iran and justified it by saying they were anti israili.
