  • Kathleen, please tell us what are we currently doing about Medicaid Fraud and our Foreign Doctors/Big Pharma CEO's prescribing unneccessary treatments that Medicaid presently pays for, with essentially NO CAP and NO DIRECT REGULATION. People have died due to this negligence of regulation on what acceptable treatments are considered to be. And we can't afford healthcare for someone employed like me?

  • In the process the big Pharma companies and the Doctors on their Research and Development Boards are making big bucks on their "marketing agendas". Don't these "marketing agendas" include "strategic" positioning of Doctors influencing their medical advise and what they prescribe based very heavily on the kickbacks they receive? People have DIED from this, MANY, typically the extremely poor... at the entire financial expense of OUR government and economy.

  • If it was allowed for you to buy private health insurance across state lines, it would be a race to the bottom. We would ONLY have policies that were the bottom of the barrel. Also, the PHI industry has a very strong lobby in Washington and if they had wanted this reform, they could have done it. They have done NOTHING for the greater good! Single Payer is the ONLY answer.

  • Why is there so much talk of increasing competition and not allowing consumers cross state lines to shop for insurance providers? Specially when the Public Option will be National.

  • I liked Sebelius better in that comedy role where she played opposite Arlen Specter--they were a couple of conmen who got their asses run out of town by a band of locals who were onto their confidence game...OH WAIT--that Wasn't a Comedy movie? Shit--I could've sworn the name of the flick was "Town Hall." She'll probably do better in the upcoming dramatic role where she Also plays a swindler, working with a pack of mafia thugs--it's called "Swine Flu: FORCED."

  • why didn't have Bush and the Republicans have to do this thoughtful and informative lengthy presentation before he fucked up the debt of America with his irresponsible and unpaid for Medicare Act of 2003???? Such a damn double standard

  • woah scary figures 5:20 - in 7 years, if un-reformed, the average R.I. family will pay $26,000 a year in health care... gotta keep those insurance execs in the lifestyle they're accustomed to

  • :35

WTF you look like the sped forces, mafia members I don't know but these people are fugly get them off my screen

Technical difficulties? your the whitehouse for gods sake

  • Stop paying for people's procedures then!

    GOH!

  • I'm well aware that we've outsourced our health care industry, we're GIVING billions of dollars to 3rd world country to manufacture these drugs and tests, ASSUMING WHAT? They have our finances and health at the top of their interest? Could we please ask Robert Collins of Kansas and Pfizer about that?

    Policy needs to change NOW.
