A little film of the giant tank at Sydney aquarium in Darling harbour. My camera didn't capture the sound at all well so I added the same music they were playing in the aquarium over the top of the video. The music is called Aquarium from Le Carnaval des Animaux (The Carnival of the Animals) by Camille Saint-Saëns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Carnival_of_the_Animals).

  • Wow! I am very impressed! Can you do some close up of the fishes or pan the cam a bit as the fishes glide about? I mean, I feel as If I was looking at the camera being held by a tripod? But the music is incredible!

  • I had to hold the camera hard up against the wall since it is very dark in there and if I tried to hand hold it then it would end up all blurred.

  • thanks for posting, the music and aquarium are awesome, its a must see before you die place, in fact Australia is a must see for anyone, I loved the place even though I had dread before I went thinkg there would be beasties every where (i have arachnophobia quite bad) but I was happy to see a golden orb spider in its web from roughly 15 ft away, I know I am a lamo but hay ho

  • The song is called: The carnival of the animals by Saint-Saens... not the nutcracker.

  • questuion what is the name from this music ??

  • this sounds like the nutcracker

  • Once I sat 3 hours in front of this aquarium..its extremely relaxing and the music is great..I love how they made it look like a theater or a cinema.

  • what's the one with the violin. I couldn't find it. The one that seemed like baroque music/orchestra. it was near the place where it said vertebrates and invertebrates :S

  • it's because they are well fed. a well fed animal becomes lazy. why bother catching dinner when it's handed to you on a silver platter so to speak.

  • Imagine you're a hunter-gatherer and you've just eaten to your hearts content and are absolutely stuffed. A rabbit suddenly pops out of the bushes and dashes past you. The way you're feeling at that moment, it's just a cute rabbit. Not worth the effort.

These sharks are hand-fed almost daily (the fish is dangled right in front of their mouths!) and they're used to it. Their bellies are never anywhere near empty, and quite simply, they're just lazy.

  • i never get why the sharks don't eat the other fish.... hmm

  • this music is always on a loop in the last window of the tank before leading in to the gift shop, it never changes.
