Who would hate the Prowler?? ... Anyone who is unfortunate to be on the receiving end of its electronic fury.

@devilleader501 The Tomcat got confirmed kills - ask the Libyan's. Gulf of SIdra in the 80's. I think they may have got another in first Gulf War.

@wabuchanan watch "we were soldiers" or "flight of the intruder" for more A6 action! great aircraft when i was growing up as a kid, the planes back then had cooler designs than we have today sadly :(

@superhornet69 ...Hey Wabu, thanks for getting right back to me. Yeah, you should have been there, man, it was the coolest thing! This Prowler came screaming right over me at only about 500 ft. off the deck, just hauling ass! I waved to him and then saluted him and he actually dipped his wing to me....totally fucking cool!! I live where they fly their route to return to Oak Harbor after cruising the ocean out here off the Washington coast. That is one bad-ass aircraft...go Navy!!
I wonder how many Prowler and Viking drivers look across the deck or hanger each day at the Hornet with envy.

@HauptmannAmerica Fewer and fewer I think, as the EA-18 Growlers keep coming online.

Pretty bad the F-14 Tomcat was around all those years and never got a comfirmed kill. Prowlers on the other hand all they have to do is enter the sky above and ruin everyones day. They do it all the time and its sad to see them phased out to let the EA-18G take over such a baddass and important role. But all good things must come to an end. But I will miss the Tomcat just as much. It's a bitchin video my friend props on posting it.

@devilleader501 Thanks for the compliments on the video:) I too, really miss the Tomcat. Great airplane, and I love the silhouette from the front. Funny you should post this now, as I just watched Top Gun a few days ago for the first time in quite awhile.

@wabuchanan ...Are all the Prowlers gone now? Are you sure there aren't still some being used out of Oak Harbor NAS in Washington state? I swear I saw one the other day fly over me.

@superhornet69
Yes, I ran into one of the pilots a couple or three months ago at a cub scout camp and he said the transitions were not done yet. I'm not sure when the changeover will be complete.
