Technique vs real players: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7tCVz2Cw-OM

This is a new technique and entirely different from the method used by Vangief and other Zangief players. The existing method requires the player to hide or 'buffer' half of the motion in a normal or jump. This does not.

Its practicality is exactly parallel to how hardcore a player you are. So, if you're not hardcore, then it won't be practical.

Although technically, you only need 4 inputs after initiating your jump animation(up, right, down and left). You will most likely be going past diagonals. This will mean you have 7 frames to hit 7 inputs.

EXTRA NOTE (as pointed out by thechap82): Method 2 actually acts as a throw-tech AND armour-cancel option select. As well as being a standing super.

Expect 'desk sucks' Ep.2 to heavily feature this.

  • Hey, desk, quick question: What kind of gate do you use in your stick? I used a TE for a while and I couldn't even do 360s on the square gate.

  • @DiscoCokkroach Yeah, I'm all about octagonal gates! Having 8 specific directions that you can 'fall' into is something I really like and, obviously, it helps with rotations too.

  • This is ridiculous. So, it's impossible with a full 720 (540) motion and no plink.

  • @Halibut86 nah, I do it accidentally in this video a few times. It's just easier with the extra frame.

  • ケイヒントウホク With a breakdown, wtf?

  • @Hit0riDe It's the 'one handed terror' special video remix :)

  • I'm almost purely a T. Hawk player, and I'm absolutely drooling over trying some of these techniques. Gief and T. already have, arguably, the best Ultras and Supers in the game, considering that, once they go off and your opponent's in range, there's no way out of them. Mixing in a level of armor to abuse, and not having to buffer 720s with a jump or a tick, with such awesome moves seems downright cruel.

  • Hey are there any rules like in tournaments for how you hold a fightstick, I mean sometimes I can only do certain moves by switching my right hand to the stick portion of the fightstick and my left hand to the button portion

  • Desk are you Japanese?

  • fucking DESK....

  • @d956impala I believe you have to P-link the light kick. Look closely at the inputs. Also you need a fight stick. You could do it on pad but not "standing 720" more like walking 720.

  • wtf i am still confused about this technique?? can sumone explain this to me?? i am literally mind fucked lol

  • That is the first OS i've seen that works against the player. by doing the OS, you tech a grab, but if you didn't do the OS and they were grabbing anyway you could have gotten your full super off if they were grabbing. And if the opponent is not grabbing, the super will come out, just like it would anyway. So it provides the same result as not OSing for one outcome and punishes the player on the other outcome.

  • Pls say how did u do the armor cancel U1??..

  • Would this work in the same way with Hakan?

  • what if ur using a ps3 controller?
