Got a phone call last night at 1:30am, and it was Carnie Wilson and her friend Daniel. Here's what I have to say about the call, Carnie, and my comments.

i don't know why people sare saying you shouldn't have apologized. If you feel you did something to someone that you are ashamed of, you should apologize. That's basic manners and courtesy. If you didn't feel like you harmed anyone then you shouldnt apologize.

Cont'd from below. I do agree that you owed CW an apology. A negative opinion on the show did not have to become an adhominem attack on CW. Good for you for owning up to this slip in judgement. Good insight on recognizing that your cxriticism of CW was based on your most basic fears. I think to you "fat" belongs in the same category as race and gender, i.e. they define you and cannot be changed. I wish I had some insights as to how such an engrained definition can be changed. Anyone?

This totally looks like a case of "dazzled by celebrity encounter", and in that regard your response is hilarious. I take issue with the timing of the call, 1:30 am was an absolutely inappropriate time for Carnie Wilson et al to call. Had a non celeb called you, you would have "ripped her a new one". CW et al need to conduct their market research calls on that dud of a show at times that are socially acceptable by all; D list celebrity status does not exempt them from common courtesy.

Even though you had a right to say it, Bravo to you for apologizing. That takes character and you obviously have wonderful character. More people should follow your lead - this world would be a better place.
