  • How ya goin buddy? Could you tell me what wire you use to make these, it looks round to me in some pics? And is it dead soft and what guage? Sis in law saw this and now she wants me to make one for her, much appreciated!

  • @rlb59 Hey bud... Both round and square wire used for the wrpas in the video. Some Sterling Silver and some are Gold filled. I use 20g square for the main wires and 22g 1/2 round bindings.

There is a tutorial on my website for cutting the crosses davidsonoftulloch(dot)net/rocks/blarney/tutor/tutorials(dot)htm

Also, if you are interested I have a message forum for Lapidarys and Smithys here: blarneystones.proboards(dot)com

Tell your SiL I said thanks... ;-)

  • supreme wire wraping. Not too gaudy like most.

  • Thank You.

  • Thats cool! I got some lake superior agates that would look great wrapped up like that. I'm polishing up a bunch from last summer right now.

  • Hey Eggman! lol... I watch your vids. I have a Laker or 2 but they're too small to make the crosses with so I'll probably make cabs with them. I have a message forum for Lapidary artists, rock hounds and Silver Smiths. There are some great folks there... one is from MN and collects Lakers too. You can find the link on my Youtube channel page if you're interested... we'd be pleased to have you there.
