  • With people like Rep. Weiner in Congress I have faith that Social Security will still be around for my parents to collect it in 20 years and for me to collect it in 50.

  • @PoliticalWeekly: Good luck with that. I don't consider myself "on the leash of the gov" because I expect to be repaid what I put into the system all my life.

  • @judyleasugar97 Okay, I will. Yes, i consider starving due to my lack of savings rather then being on the leash of the Gov. Also, I dont get paid, None what so ever. I don't even know how to get paid by this tyrannic liberal site called YouTube. i come here to chat and upload videos, not brag about my Kurt Cobain fetish.

  • @PoliticalWeekly: You didn't answer what I said. Let me guess, you're one of those people who is paid per comment response you get?

  • @judyleasugar97 You are the one who is naive because you just distract people with straw arguments. You can answer my question or go on and on with scenarios. You Have good intentions, but history has shown: Good intentioned programs get fucked sooner or later. Want proof, the communists wanted a paradise where everyone was loved and everyone was equal. But the system came crashing down. Before criticizing people, think about yourself. I'm done!

  • @PoliticalWeekly: Oh, working double shifts seven days a week for less than minimum wage is preferable? No job site safety? That's not so bad? You should read Charles Dickens if you want to know what life was like in Victorian times because apparently you haven't got a clue. I don't consider it freedom, the idea of people starving to death at the end of their lives because there is no social security. You're naive.

  • @judyleasugar97 Oh, I am naive. Not saying you are, but America was not as bad as victorian england. Many people actually questioned SS. It's intentions are good, but had deathly results. Fact: entitlements are the biggest part of the budget. Even if we cut military and other spending it is not going to cut it for SS or medicaid. Also, the system is forced down every americans throat. So, we virtually are stripped from retirement freedom. Ask yourself, what is more important freedom or Security.

  • @PoliticalWeekly: You need to read about Victorian England because that's what life would be like in America without government entitlements. In other words, pretty tough. Many people actually starved to death at the end of their lives before social security. You're naive.

  • @judyleasugar97 Both parties are guilty of spending. We need to eliminate the income tax AND end wars, end entitlements and eliminate the DOE, DOC, OSHA, ATF, welfare state, warfare state etc. Also, most seniors lived with their children before social security.

  • @PoliticalWeekly: The Democrats are not guilty of the really big spending: the war in Iraq, the prescription drug plan, and tax cuts for the wealthy. We need to end these Bush policies and we will have a balanced budget.

  • @judyleasugar97 Yet they continue to spend. It's time somebody kills it.
