Dr. Diane Ravitch On Public Education, Privatization and Professionalization in San Francisco

Dr. Diane Ravitch, educator and historian gave a presentation in San Francisco
on Public Education, Privatization And Deprofessionalization on January 20, 2012. She provides an overview of the the corporate "reforms" being introduced into the education system in the United States and how these policies are undermining not only public education but the entire education process. She outlines the billion dollar non-profit corporations such as the Gates Foundation, Broad Foundation, Walton Foundation and Wall Street who are pushing this privatization of education. She discusses "No Child Left Behind" and "Race To The Top" and the ideology and logic of these policies. According to Dr. Ravitch this is also being pushed by President Obama's secretaryof Education Arne Duncan.

Thank you for posting this video. I used to support charter schools. I was wrong. I was convinced by the logical arguments put forth by people like Dr. Ravitch, but also due to experience of working in both.

The Retilians, excuse my spelling I was educated in the public education system. The Reptilians create the problem, by wreaking government, then they manufacturer the desired reaction and then they put forth their solution and their solution is always profit and never people driven.

Dr. Diane is a rare voice of sanity. Please promote and share this, breath of fresh air, lecture to your friends and family. Stand up against privatization and loss of American sovereignty. Stand against tyranny.
