I'm American Muslim and proud to wear hijab, Islam doesn't oppress women. If Catholic nuns can wear hijab and be seen as practicing their religion, but Muslim women who wear hijab are seen as oppressed...double standard.

In the Qur'an it says a woman is not allowed to see of touch the private parts of another woman nor a man who is not her husband, so what happens in child birth, does the woman give birth on her own, are all men and women doctors or midwives?

@centureyfox All catholic nuns chose it for themselves along with their celibacy. A lot of muslim women wear hijab to appease their husbands, to avoid Hell or both. You cant really compare the two things. Also: If you want to practice your religion you will be confronted with the fact that sometimes life is´nt fair. Deal with it.

In arab countries, nuns are murdered for being christians. In western countries, a workplace might ask you to take off your hijab while doing your job.

I dislike this guy. I think he's an a-hole. But, I agree that women should be able to decide themselves what they wish to wear. If someone feels they should wear a hijab or veil or whatever, I say do it. Wear what you want.
