Coming to Maine this summer. Looking for intense white water. Recommendations? Have don the New River, Gauley River during the dam release and the Colorado River. The more class V water the better!
@cathiemccall We have intense, class V whitewater for you! Since you have rafted the Gauley, I would recommend the West Branch of the Penobscot River. It has a 10 foot waterfall, like Sweets Falls, it has a technical rapid called the Cribworks, much like Lost Paddle and Exterminator Hole is a river wide hydraulic much like the excitement of Pillow Rock. We can put together a great package for you - 888-484-3317.
It is not just the line that makes it class 5. It is extremely shallow and there is a recirculating hole just below the drop that would be bad for a swimmer. It is a class 3-4 line with class 6 consequences!!!!
