How to get a higher score in Tetris Splash and Facebook Tetris marathon game.

Ok, you need to understand how scoring works in Splash. Splash uses a variable goal system. If you do a single, you will take off a single line from the goal. Anything higher than a single though will take more lines from the goal than what is removed from the matrix.

Here is the breakdown of what each line clear removes from the goal:

Points gained is the base points listed multiplied by the current level you are on.
single : -1 from goal, 100 ponits
double: -3 from goal, 300 points
triple: -5 from goal, 500 points
tetris: -8 from goal. 800 points
t spin (no line clears): -4 from goal, 400 points
t spin single: -8 from goal, 800 poins
t spin double: -12 from goal, 1200 points
combo add's a 0.5 multiplier to the points gained for the line clear.

Now the idea for Splash to maximize your score is to do as many 1x combo's as possible. For level 1 you want to clear out two 1x combo's then set up for a T~spin. That will give you maximum points on level 1. Level 2 and beyond you want to bring your line count down to 9, then set up a Tetris and a T~spin. A tetris will remove 8 lines from the goal and bring it down to one remaining line. The T~spin would normally take 12 from the goal. Since you only have 1 line left untill the next level, it takes only the one line. It will not take the addition 11 lines from the next level's goal.

Here's an example: If you do two 1x combo's and a T~spin double on level one, you will get 1700 points. If you cleared a Tetris, you would only get 800 points.

  • i don't understand it, like the song though.

  • @georgia4dougie What don't you understand?

  • haha hey

i don't understand how using a tetris at goal 9 makes a difference

is it the combo bonus you get from tetris=>Tspin d?

  • It all has to do with how many lines are taken off the goal for different line clears and the fact the any additional lines that SHOULD be taken off when you advance levels are not. You can abuse the system to score more points.

  • I still don't quite understand this. Are you saying that you score more points by doing 1x lines until towards the end of the level and then you do a tetris and T-spin?

So like if the level had 8 lines until you progress to the next level, you score more points in 1x,1x,Tetris(4x),T-Spin(2x) than you would with Tetris(4x),Tetrix(4x)?

Honestly that wouldn't make sense. I thought you're supposed to get more points with each Tetris? That is, One x 4 < Four x 1

  • Read the 'more info' for this video. Splash uses a variable goal system, a Tetris takes off 8 lines from the goal, not 4.

  • song dont match but hello so can u do master mode please

  • Wasn't aware Tetris had such a complex strategy behind it...

  • Okay hold up a second... I'm confused. On their website it says that T-spin triples are worth 1600*level points, yet when I perform one, it only gives me 500*level. What gives? Anyway, nice video! Thanks for making.

  • Since they've added T-spin triples to the scoring system now, would it be best to go tetris, T-spin triple to end each level?

  • awesome mix of music and combo-ing. AWESOME video

  • 3fucking11

  • Wow. I usually play by making as many Tetrises as I can. It's gonna be tough to switch to singles.

  • intentionally scoring singles is harder than I thought lol
