@mexicankid74 Thanks, I tried that before and originally I thought the bluray drive was broken! It seemed to fix itself luckily :D

guys im going to do this but my 80 gb ps3 is different when i take it apart i got it in 2009 a refurb model

@Cameroncars try takeing it apart again and start it up with the top off maybe the tops on too tight and pressing it by mistake

It shouldn't matter if the heatsink moves down as the backplate of the CPU/GPU is screwed onto the heatsink with the CPU/GPU sandwiched in between.
