    Bono really could have made the effort to learn the lyrics. A tribute is all about respect and I don't see how reading the lyrics to the audiance is showing any respect to Clarence or his work. It's not a big deal to learn a few lines to honor Clarence.

    Clarence died that evening. We heard about it right before the opening band. Add in that Bono doesn't remember his own songs, and you have the need for some notes. Get over that Bono doesn't know Springsteen songs by heart, and that he wanted to do something special for another musician. Were you there? I was and most others there thought this was special. Tons of media outlets thought this was special too.
