@Squirrelfish Celt comes from the Greek Keltoi, and was used to refer to people from Massalia, which is in modern France, the Romans turned this to Celtae. I've never heard Celt used in reference to Turkish peoples. The Celts were pushed from mainland Europe during the Germanic Migration, around this time "interlace" artwork shows up in the general area, and is spread to both Scandinavia and the British Isles, a later re-mixing of the styles gives us "Insular Art" which people now call Celtic.

Seriously, who on earth tries to swing a blade (cut 5) using an early medieval sword/Viking style, with their wrist supinated? Tit.

@nivenheim People often use the phrase "celtic knot work" when what they are actually talking about is Anglo-Scandinavian Knot work, wrongly attributed to "celts" and by celts they actually mean the Iron Age British peoples. Celt is a Roman phrase which originally meant people from Turkey, which came to mean loosely, anyone not from the Roman Empire.
