I don't need no STINKIN' Elevator. I added Vectored Thrust to my F-22 Raptor.

*Inspired by watching the F-22 Raptor fly at the Air show last week, I decided to get mine out and fly with some Poor Man mods to the thrusters and then try it with no elevator whatsoever! See the surprising results.

That's awesome!! Love seeing u fly ur planes! But did it actually work BETTER than the normal setup? Or about the same? I also have a question. I just bought my first edf, the f4e phantom, and which glue is best, the glue it comes with, 5 min epoxy, or hot melt glue? I know from your videos, you have experimented with all of them. Which one comes out on top? If you have time, I would really appreciative your input. The forums are full of adverse opinions, and so called "glue experts".

It seems smoother to me, without using much drag like elevators do. Best to try yourself and you will find it quite nice. You know rockets are steered by thrust vectoring, and they work good. That glue that came with my Phantom never really seemed to dry. 5 min epoxy is good for many things. Electric (hot melt) is my favorite for gluing foam but you cant screw up and it hurts like heck when you drip it on you. I use Amazing Goop for plastic (not foam) or metal that's strong and flexible.

Thanks for that, but I am just trying to try things out that seem they would work logically. as some things I do aren't very smart! LOL. This was just another trial of my logic, that turned out pleasantly successful. Thanks again.

Do you think it would fly with the horizontal stabs removed completely? Are you familiar with the Veritech VF-1 fighter from the Robotech series? It's much like an F-14 without the vertical stabs. I want to build one but I'm skeptical.
