@Jlinzer That's not true. Dermatologists prescribe Vitamin D supplements instead. Also, your body can only take in so much Vitamin D at a time. Any long periods of time out in the sun (over 10 min) equals skin damage. Indoor tanning booths are known to cause skin cancer and are harmful to your body. They lower your immune system as well.
she said that indoor tanning beds produce 15 times more harmful radiation than the sun. my wife is going tanning for 5 minutes per day. so 5 times 15 is 75 so my wifes 5 minute session in a tanning bed is equal to 75 minutes in the sunlight. I dont think people would be getting so worried about someone going outside for a little over an hour a day so why are people worrying about 5 minutes in a tanning bed. I think there just needs to be moderation in all things
Blacks get 2 to 4 times the amount of vitamin D deficiency related diseases than whites. Indoor tanning produces vitamin D just like summer sun. Dermatologists use UV machines to treat their clients that have vitamin D deficiency related diseases.
Wow, I already knew that it wasn't safe but I didn't know that is even more dangeous than sunlight. There is more information on this topic that can be useful for your physicians at Symposier site.
