This is my homemade bell instrument called "The Chronicle". The bells themselves are a set of mini carillon bells specially designed for a Theater in Berkeley, Ca, circa 1910. The bells were originally mounted on a large 10ft frame and were electronically triggered by a keyboard which relayed a signal to strike the bell with a wooden dowel. I have remounted the bells on a drum rack so that I can play a melody on the bells while simultaneously keeping a beat with the kick and snare. I'm still figuring out how to play this thing so any feedback is welcome.
dude how did you make this instrument??? materials, cutting techniques, pitches??? I wanna make something similar for a science competition. Your help would be much appreciated

@wbasketEbay Hey, I didn't make the bells themselves, they were designed for a theater in Berkeley around 1900. All I did was fasten the bells to a Pearl drum rack using industrial velcro. The bells are made of brass but I bet you could make something similiar using PVC or wood. HIt me back with a link to your video if you decide to make it.
