In NJ, Chris Christie opposes marriage equality

In a debate on October 1, GOP candidate for Governor in New Jersey, Chris Christie unequivocally said he opposes same-sex marriage and would not sign the legislation.

I don't understand his point of view. It doesn't make sense to me. Ultimately it just boils down to some religious belief. That said, I like Christie and believe that he's principled enough not to fight gay marriage should most of the state's voters become in favour of it. I can respect that. I'd rather have this guy as president rather than the incompetent duo of Obama/Biden. Besides, Obama himself doesn't support gay marriage.

Over 65% do not want same sex marriage. we the people, states, and local govs are getting sick and tired of federal government mandating something we didn't ask for nor do we want. bottom line is we're not worried about guys that fuck each other in the ass getting married or not. our fucking country is collapsing due to corruption, attacks on the constitution, and elite interests. He first stated his personal belief but also said if the question of gay marriage was on a ballot and the people of NJ voted in the MAJORITY he would sign and UPHOLD IT AS LAW!! if the majority does not want it, don't make it law plain and simple. most gays are happy with domestic partnership anyway. its a smaller lobby thats pushing this crap. corzine went down when he was critically injured going 90 without a seat belt. now lets see if the thick man can do better. maybe we can take the hammer and sickle flag bill off the table now.
