Nah, but that would be a crossing of two timelines: the show and the book series. In the series, he definitely would still be cruel - what, 20ish years? - when the Stackhouses died. But in the show, considering how discusses how long he's taken the peaceful, abstinent route, he wouldn't have reason to do that. Godric was passively waiting to die by not getting involved - not eating/killing - and when he did fight it was toward the end of his life and also to help non-vampires.

Jason doesn't have any real powers and most likely won't develop any. he's able to attract people and his blood tastes super yummy to vamps but that's it. he's like Sookie but without the light show and mind-reading. no stronger than a regular human
