Traditional tent pegs were made from fresh cut (green) timber and stacked up to air dry. Here you will see a method using a shaving horse and drawknife. Because I did not have any freshly cut timber available to me at the time, I made these from seasoned ash.

  • Do you have a stock knife?If not there is a great working drawing of one in Ray Tabors green woodworking encyclopedia i use my homemade one for this kind of work mainly pursenet pegs and the like.Regards.
