This is my second Taxi Driver trailer which focuses on the alienation, isolation and loneliness that Travis Bickle deals with in his life.

It utilises Jean-Michel Jarre's Tour-De-Force piece "Waiting For Cousteau" which I think totally sums up the lonely man that is Travis Bickle.

  • Definately interesting with serious potential, but one serious flaw. I believe the atmosphere made by this kind of music, and slow portrets focusing one man, and one man only, make a very powerful statement already without "God's lonely man" quote on the end. And especially without credits.

Starting idea of your trailer was, i assume, to triguer the viewer with saying much, but nothing especially. Therefore it needs some kind of "Cloverfield" mystery.

    Other than that - great.

  • @LedTravis Thanks for the feedback - an interesting analysis - always nice to have constructive criticism instead of angry rants like some people.

  • @ChrisNightingale Hi Chris- I put my comment as a piggyback onto your conversation with 'LedTravis'. -Sorry- new at youtube use -only way I knew to get comment to you.Anyway, that trailer- grabbed the isolation and lonliness so well, that I felt it in my gut. Been an addict in past, and lived like that. Your trailer -I FELT it- you did a great job of capturing the continuing nothingness- in-between his jobs (& in b/n his madness & anger). The extended-ness of it. Well done, mate.

  • @soozmct Thanks for that matey, much appreciated. I can't think how many times I have watched and analysed this film seeing something new each time - I guess it's one of those thinking films. Also I think it works well with the Jarre score - although primarily created to give a wonderful image of the calm and tranquillity of the ocean, there is something very isolated about the individual piano notes.

  • i think travis bickle, as fictional as he is is a sane man, driven to be unstable and mabey even to the brink of insanity because living his whole life in an insane world. its actually scares me tht this mad man, this fictional character is the person i can relate to the most right now

  • yes text is too slow,

I think you also missed the point of the film, it's not his fault he's isolated, he's surrounded by screwballs and fuckheads

  • Good Job.

  • Good work fella

  • BRAVO!!! This is superbly done! One of my all-time favorite movies, and you have done a marvelous job with this! Thank you! :)

  • Fantastic work, you inspired me to go back for another viewing. It's been a year and a half and I've thought of Travis every day. Sometimes I feel like I am becoming him.

  • @laynasor fucking A

  • I am god´s lonely man

  • Fantastic. I would have added more of the Travis with gun scenes to give this a dark tone - had I not already seen the film and watched this trailer, I would have thought this was a movie about a dead love one or the trauma of divorce.
