On September 6 Amnesty International launched a report documenting Sexual and Gender-based Violence in the Solomon Islands. The report also documents how water sanitation is a major issue in the Solomon Islands slums. Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand Chief Executive Patrick Holmes launched the report alongside AUT's Pacific Media Centre. Jocelyn Lai from the Young Womens Chrisitan Assocation came over from the Solomon Islands to speak on her first hand experience on dealing with Sexual Gender-based Violence in the region.
