The reason that its not Mahognay IS because ITS JUST TOO FRIGGING HEAVYYYYY Its just too heavy a guitar in its true construction and another reason that not too many are used on stage....Heck they actuall out weigh Les Pauls at 9 pounds....Try playing that thing hanging around your neck for an hour or two....

I think a lot of people over look this guitar if they havnt played it but if you have played it you have most likely experienced this guitars charm.

@tomheather The reason i got a flying v was because the're comfortable to play stood up, i say you want to sit buy a strat.

@drawingdude4711 you can sit with EVERY guitar. no matter how it is built. It's only a question of your habits. Of course .. if youve played a strat all your live and someone give a V to you, youll hate it. First time i had a Gibson V in my hand i hated it. Now i'm proud owner of an wonderful b.c. rich V and its like heaven !

@tomheather I'm buying a Flying V now, it's my first guitar aswell and i bought it as i knew i could sit wih it, but i wasn't really sure if it was going to be pleasant to sit with it, Thanks for saying those words :)
