  • bella interpretazione... molto bravo...

  • Basically a very interesting interpretation. His "Horowitzian" treatment of the melody line and rhythms are a pleasant reminder of the golden age of romantic piano playing. However, I disagree strongly with his treatment of the measure 62+ section (the trill section) which is marked "Poco piu lento" and "dolce", two directions he chooses to ignore completely in favor of a somewhat showy and bravura display which just doesn't seem consistent with the spell he cast up until then.

    grazie

  • He did take liberties with the beat, but as we all likely well know, this treatment and rubato is often okay when performing Chopin, when done responsibly. But I have to say, all technical issues aside, that I was at this concert and this video doesn't begin to show the absolute trance that this pianist was able to put this audience under. This is an encore piece. The concert itself was wonderful, exciting and inspired. Mr. Albanese is a true poet at the piano.

  • Fantastico.

  • perfect

  • complimenti è molto emozionante sentirla suonare.

  • Superbe interprétation !

    Bravo et merci

  • I agree. The beat is all over the place. Also, the second chord has to have a completely different sound than the opening "rolled chord". Some nice moments though. The big scale 1:46 should start somewhat strong and cresc. not start big and continue big.

  • Maestro,
