you are probably the shittiest speller of all time, and you have the audacity to talk about someone else's hand movements. learn to type first, then talk about playing piano.

Oh well, nothing like a sense of humor!Shall i translate?..."Disappointing jerky and not very Horowitz-like.Typical bad reproduction made by piano roll.Missing poetic expression of Chopin"....
But it's less entertaining and much less an imitation of a jerky paino orll.

@pianovideo There is a rumor VH read his way through the whole of op 25 in his last recording sessions and was preparing the set for anoher concert tour.. I don't think is substantiated though..

i only know 2 recordings of this etude by horowitz. and both of them are on pian rolls. anyone have a live one or even a studio recording

This is incredibly interesting. Of course one cannot judge someone playing on a piano roll from the 1920s. He would have sounded very different live and also piano roll stump the dynamics. It is amazing to hear this though. Horowitz is always my hero.

I must say I found this somewhat disappointing. Ticks all the boxes but leaves something out...

Excuse me for wrong English and extreme audacity, please do not beat me to pulp. This is atrocious. I am sure that this is authentic roll, but I am almost equally sure that Horowitz in 1928 could not have sounded anything like this. If he did, he would never have made it, I think. The only thing that sounds Horowitz-like to me is the strange mannerism that would become more and more pronounced as he passed into senility. Again, I repent for making blasphemous comment in incorrect English.

Nosehow2lives, if you wanna do that mind trick thing you have to actually use the correct letters for the word regardless of where they r positioned, Chopin not Chopain
I like his later version, although this is still superb.
