The rotary mower is a tractor towed horizontal disc cutter for grass-type forages such as Alfalfa (Lucerne) etc. After mowing the grass, the disc cutter leaves it in the field for drying. Doing this increases its shelf life while preserving its nutritional value.
The dried hay is then baled at a later stage using a round or square baler and these bales are then stored for year round use. The disc cutter is available in the following versions: 5-Disc Rotary mower, 7-Disc Rotary mower and the Trailed Disc mower.
