This video was uploaded prior to my knowledge of the RabidApe video it is now attached to. Since it doesn't deal with the second law of thermodynamics, I will briefly summerize it here.
The second law of thermodynamics is an expression of the universal law of increasing entropy, stating that the entropy of an ISOLATED system which is not in equilibrium will tend to increase over time, approaching a maximum value at equilibrium.
The Earth is not an isolated system. It receives constant energy from the sun. This video is an elementary level discription of the Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection. Hopefully those who misunderstand evolution will be able to see it for what it is.

i wouldnt say it has NOTHING to do with it, i saw it as being connectednot as evolution as such, but as supportiveof evolution i.e they strengthen its foundations by answering the queston of 'ok, so life diversified this way, but how did the first structures come about, of 'evolve' as one might say.

mikooou: and you are only a Christian/Jew/Muslims because you can get a free pass by sinning and getting forgiveness or redemption or some other bullshit that allows you to do evil and then get away with it.
I do not harbor such illusions. The evil I do today will be paid back to me in my lifetime in some way. that is my ethic. Your ethic is disgusting.

If I wanted to sin, I'd be a Christian. I could do whatever the fuck I wanted to do, and then confess my sins and be straight with God.

Lets get the story straight.
God has a devine plan for everything, so when God made Adam and Eve and the magic fruit (containing morality) God planned for them to eat it so God could indebt us with sin forever, even if we didnt do anything
Then God said "I tell you what I'm going to kill myself (even though God cannot die) so that you are no longer indebted, just remember to keep kissing my ass or you are screwed" Plus Jesus wasn't selfless, he was rewarded w/ heaven.
What a con artist.

mikooou: "Jesus died for your sins"
No, he did not because he came back better. Dead means dead not resurrecting as a super person.

When did the new genetic material become introduced to population A to make it transform into a completely different species, unable able to interbreed because the only way you could end up with a new species is if new genetic material is introduced into the specie's genome. What you're demonstrating is merely micro-evolution-the same thing Darwin saw on the Galapagos Islands with the finches-NO NEW SPECIES WAS CREATED THROUGH NATURAL SELECTION.

Do you know what "Natural Genetic Engineering" is? Or how about Systems Biology? Did you know natural selection and random mutation explains very little about the diversity of life? Did you know that you copied a bunch of other people's ideas to make this video and they copied a bunch of people to make their videos/write their articles? Oversimplification in fact hurts the idea of evolution, which is what you are doing.

I think you got one thing wrong, A does not exactly continue but also develop in some way, of course it can be that A does not change much but it would be a bit too much to say that "B lives along it's ancestor A".
That is often misunderstood, the monkeys today are as evolved as we are.
ELStalky 4 years ago
I get what you're saying, but let me try to explain my example a little more. In this case, B is moving off into a new enviroment while A is staying put. With A being in the same enviroment it's always been in, it doesn't change because it's already perfectly suited. While the A side is relatively unchanging the B side was undergoing numerous changes as they adapted to the new area, with D then moving back along side the species its line originally spawned from.
dinguswad452 4 years ago
That is correct, but would have been better to use the more common case when both species evolve because this might be a bit misleading.
ELStalky 4 years ago
I could have used a more common case of evolution, but I chose this one for a specific reason. Creationists like to point out instances in which fossils of a supposed ancestor and its decendent are found along side one another in the same stratalayer. It shouldn't be misleading because this is an instance in which evolution occurs.
