IT's ON! Television Preview for June 9th, 2009

http://www.airamerica.com Lately, news coming from Iraq has taken a back seat to domestic stories on the economy, the Obama administration, and the occasional Jon and Kate update (did you hear theyre now being investigated for animal cruelty?? This family shouldnt exist). This is exactly why Stephen Colbert and 30 people from his production staff packed their bags and headed to the Middle East to broadcast the Colbert Report live from Baghdad.

Last night was episode one of what the Colbert Report is calling Operation Iraqi Stephen. The show stuck to its basic format of informational-hilarity, even doing a The Word segment where Stephen declared that we had officially won the war. His guests included General Ray Otierno, the chief commander of US forces in Iraq, and a special appearance by Barack Obama, who ordered Otierno to shave Stephens head in solidarity with the US troops:
