Hi @icanfixitnaebother, I got mine from my local VW dealership - they even had them on the shelf so there was no mucking around. They come as per the shot in the clip, sealed in the bag and each cable has the correct connector on the end to go in the wiring-loom's radio block. Good hunting!

hi i followed all instructions.i have an octavia 05'.

everything is the same yet there was no blue audio block for input so i connected the three wires using pins. However my radio aux is on but it is not addressing the three aux cables i have connected. Do i need all ten pins connected for the radio to think sometning is there.??Help

Hi David, firstly I assume you have the same radio and you've checked your connections and continuity through your wiring - and if all is well there, then checked the correct pins (diagram @ 1m04s)? I know you would have - I'm just checking! I believe the blue block is the connector to the cd-changer but I must confess I'm not sure if a cd-changer has to be present to enable the AUX pins and if so how it would do it, sorry - if anyone reading this can enlighten us it would be a big help...

Hi Bluejacka, I firstly removed the retaining nut from the 3.5mm jack which left just the body of the jack and about 3mm of thread. The blank has some strengthening webbing behind the front face so I had to cut this away with a sharp blade before I drilled a 6mm hole in the blank. See if you can leave enough to support the jack body in its final position, or pack it with some balsa. Some 2-pack adhesive sets it all into place - it's not pretty from the back but it works :-)

Great video thanks. Just a note to be aware of, the really key thing for this to work is to ensure that the wiring diagram includes the 3 AUX ports as highlighted in the movie. I didn't check first stupidly before I bought the cables, other than that though great instruction movie and really simple to follow. My cables are now for sale on eBay if anyone is interested and a stereo chassis socket is also for sale just look for eBay seller monsieur_aigle.

There is an AUX connector in the central armrest. That comes standard. Unless is missing for some reason.
