  • This an interesting concept, but the mentions that I have seen so far of Dr. George John's "renewable biodegradable sugar-based molecule" are annoyingly vague.

    I will venture a guess that it was long-chain trehalose diesters made from mycobacteria, but I cannot seem to find a news article that describes this mystery molecule more concretely. Surely the chemical formula is not a trade secret?
