Kozina at night 1.wmv

Kozina in Slovenia is the main yard on a single track Koper Line, approximately halfway between the Port of Koper terminal and the Divača junction on the mainline Trieste - Ljubljana -Vienna. Seating almost on the top of the 20-mile, 2.5 - 2.7% grade, it is a place where the trains meet and where the helpers are uncoupled, but they continue pushing the trains to the top of the grade 2 miles further.

On one July 2010 night I was there, filming what came by - some 20 trains in all. This is the first part of it.
