Short video tutorial on exporting very high quality H.264 video from Final Cut Pro 6 using the AAC codec for audio. Video encoded to H.264 with AAC audio can give you a great output. These are typical settings that I have found to work for me.

  • Well this of course one way but the best way is to have full control of kps, for this you should use compressor or the export function of quicktime pro.

  • @Metagraffix - The export through Quicktime Pro is exactly the same as this, and you can limit the data rate. I just set the kbps to auto here for simplicity. Sometimes it's hard to know what you should limit the data rate to, so I like to use the quality slider and have Quicktime make the data rate decision.
