This is an extremely efficient method of farming the adamantoise, the goal is to use the Sahz method from part 1 until you get strong enough to do this method, which shouldn't take long. You need at least 1 genji glove to do it this way, though I would suggest having 2 to make it easier. As such, you probably won't be doing it this way until you've nearly or completely maxed your crystarium

The great thing about this is that you can do it this quickly only using maxed tier 2 weapons, which at this point are easy to make and you won't have to spend much, and you don't have to use a trap to upgrade them to ultimate weapons in case these aren't the weapons you would prefer to make into ultimates for these characters. Note however that upgrading them to tier 3 will make this go faster and easier.

You can see in the video all the paradigms and gear used, and you pretty much need to have it set up that way. It's important to have the gaian rings on Fang and Lightning to be able to survive a couple of stomps before you take out the legs, Snow will have enough HP to be fine. Gaian rings are the last upgraded version of clay rings, you'll find a clay ring and an earth charm on Pulse. Star the earth charm and dismantle it for your second clay ring, then upgrade both to their end form.

Using this method I managed to make about 1 million gil from ingots in less than half an hour.

I don't claim to have created either of these methods, I stumbled on to them both myself before finding other people's examples of how they did it, and then I just refined them to fit my own style and the gear I had (which was basically doing them with the minimal amount I'd need to since I planned on getting treasure hunter and not wasting or spending a massive amount of time to do so). I just wanted to show people you could get to the point where you're in reach of the treasure hunter trophy and platinum without grinding until your game time is over 100 hours.

  • this strategy is beautiful. the only thing i changed was, instead of recasting faithra and haste on lightning, i cast bravera and hast because she only functions as a commando after that. but anyways, this is a crazy strategy and it helped me out alot! Thanks

  • @MrGumbigoo If your set up like I am in this video her magic attack will be more powerful than her physical so she should still be casting even as a commando (using ruin instead of physical attacks), so faithra is actually the way to go.

  • DX no fair i play xbox 360 version of it and the damage limit on that game is 99,999 damage so this method doesnt work for me. fml.

  • @mclancy1995 As far as I know both versions are the same, you have to get the genji glove in order to break the 99k damage limit, it's not just a PS3 thing.

  • Hey man! I tried this strategy this morning, but it fails.

I'm nearly maxed out and I use the EXACT same gear you are

using right there.. But Snow still keeps dying 3 out of 4 times or so..

And 1/2 of the time the legs don't die from the Highwind..

I'll watch your vid more closely but I'd like your opinion aswell or

someone that knows how to do this.. Because maybe i'm overlooking

something..? =/ It's very anoying cause this seems to be a GREAT methode!

    Thanks in advance!

  • @Aatjuuh I'll just list off a few things. Double check your gear. You need to be able to survive 2 stomps, if Snow is getting killed by just 2 you'll need either more HP or some resists. Try to figure out how much stagger you need on the legs for Highwind to finish them, they stagger at 400 but I generally needed to make sure it was over 500, also if you're Highwind hits as the leg is stomping you do less damage so watch that. Try to figure it out and get back to me in a PM.

  • I'm using your method... but since I don't have a maxed crystarium, I had to change it a bit... If anyone finds it useful I'll post the changes here.

I have a Syn/Syn/Syn to buff my team and cast Brav and Prot to Fang and Faith and Prot to the rest, hopefully Snow will have haste, then I go com/rav/rav to the legs.

When the toise is down, I switch to Syn/Sab/Sab and cast Brav and Faith on everyone, I switch to com/rav/rav again until the thing has 999.99 and then go com/com/com... it works! :D

  • @SoulSekttor I'm amazed at the number of people that never find that feature since I used it constantly, you just press right on the abilitites tab (notice the arrow pointer after selecting abilities one turn) and it switches over to a "repeat" option.

  • i find it odd i have same gear ult wpns an yet with this method i seem to struggle too kill them this way

  • Just asking, how many traps did you get out of makin this, and the sazh vid? lol :)

  • Thank you!

I'd had the basic idea of this technique down before I saw this video, but you helped me perfect it! No more resorting to Summons for me

You're a life (and time) saver

  • This is an extremely efficient technique. Without this I would've grinded for days. Thanks a lot!

  • Clay Rings and Siltstone Rings both upgrade to Gaian Rings, & there is the option to dismantle the Earth Ring as the uploader mentioned'

Clay Ring, Taijin's Tower 6th Floor. Clay Ring, take Chocobo up cliff by the Adamantoises, where Gigantuar appears. Siltstone Ring, reward Mission 39

  • Awesome tutorial. Thank you for streamlining these methods and sharing this! It took me a couple of tries to get the right groove for things but I nailed it in record time on the third try, and I got a Trap for my efforts. My only alteration was using shrouds, which isn't cost effective at all, but I lack the gear used for the auto-brave and auto-faith. Once I find those I'll try this again exactly as suggested. Thanks again! ♥

  • Nice one! It'll help me big time (and so will your other vid on farming dark matter)

    thanks for post these!

  • so, i got it down now, still need maybe 1 pheonix down here or there, but i've gotten 20 kills so far, 0 ingots, and 1 trap....... WTF?!?!?!?!?!

  • @Pazuzoo360PSN i just checked this out now and your right thanks for that
