Oh ok! Well I use Amigo before I go to wax whenever I work on a dark or rich colored paint. It just helps any color other than white or silver. You can check out more of my work on FaceBook under the fan page ShowCarDetailing and you will see how I use Prima on a lot of different cars.

Thanks for your reply. The car & paint look amazing with that combo. I have BG, but yet to try Amigo. I just might after this, hah. Thanks again! Cheers.

Also, Amigo was intended as a paint cleanser to be used before any of the Prima waxes. That's the nice thing about staying within a system.

Not if the polymer is cured already. Putting on a carnauba is an easy way to improve the finish. Going the other way can be problematic..putting a synthetic over a carnauba.
Thanks for the video. Was wanting to double check the best way to apply Epic and this did it!

The whole purpose of HAVING a DA machine is to USE it to apply and to remove the wax. It isn't just for use as a "compounding" device. Also, when you apply wax, you should use small overlapping circles, which should take about 90 minutes by hand on your car. But using the DA to apply the wax in a CONSISTENT manner will yield uniform color richness (in 10min). Just like waxing a pair of Marine Corps cadillacs, the more you rub, the richer and deeper the shine. Isn't that WAX you're applying?

@Fluidrazor Actually a DA machine isn't just for applying and removing wax. The Porter Cable 7424/XP polishers are used to remove defects using polishes as well as for applying/removing wax. I'm actually polishing with a glaze first using Prima Amigo which is a polymer glaze and I'm finishing with a hand applied wax called Banana Gloss. It dries too fast to be used by machine.

Thanks for your help, Octane Guy. I hope you don't mind me asking you questions via youtube. I will definitely give Amigo a try. Do you find Banana Gloss should be topped with another carnauba to lock in the fillers, or just using Banana Gloss by itself, with no topper, is sufficient. Please let me know if my logic is flawed in that regard. I was maybe thinking of topping BG with either Collinite 476 or 915 (due to higher % carnauba and durability).

BG is so easy to use that putting on another carnauba would kind of defeat the purpose. Not saying you can't if you want to. But until you realize that all a carnauba does is tint your paint to get that warm rich look..different carnaubas are just doing this with different amounts of tint. Take a piece of glass and put a carnauba on it. It wil be yellow by tomorrow. I use BG because it doesn't matter whether the panel is scorching hot or freezing cold and it's easy to use with great looks.
