  • This man is a machine. He sings everything so smoothly and effortlessly, no matter how high or how fast. Bravo

  • He is always amazing but here he is better than ... any other time!

  • @hotqueekboi Ok, going to go for ignorant. The tenors you've just named are are Lyric tenors. The only slight crossover was Gedda and he's never performed the majority of the Rossini works. Florez is a tenore leggierio which means that no, his voice isn't as large as Pavarotti. But it is more light, florid and ringing, as his vocal fach would suggest. Pavarotti never recorded 'Cessa....' and Florez will never record 'Nessun Dorma'. No need to compare!

  • Not my favourite by any means of operatic tenors, but he is technically brilliant and his runs/melissima is very well executed.

  • @tombaker1222

Compare him to almost any other opera/operatic tenor singer... he has nowhere near as much power as the likes of Pavarotti, Gedda or even someone like Alagna.

  • @hotqueekboi His voice is very strong - he is just containing it. Listen to some more and you will hear Florez swelling explosively

  • @dottorbarbaro Rossini was known to self-plagiarise.

  • has anyone noticed that the tune from 4:37 is the same to "non piu mesta" fom la Cenerentola?

  • @hotqueekboi Either irony or a hearing problem? This is not a dramatic tenor piece - colouratura that needs a smaller, lighter voice to carry off. This guy is pretty well regarded as the best out there for this sort of stuff

  • @cogitoergoboh ti chiedevo in cosa lui canti male, appunto perché non riesco a capirlo. Non me ne intendo di queste cose, ma a gusto mi piace! comunque, chi altro mi consigli di ascoltare per fare dei confronti? non so, magari cambierò idea! ^^

  • Che dire se non FANTASTICO!!!!

A chi dice che Florez ha un po' di naso nel suono rispondo: Cantate voi così!!!!

  • La parte finale è identica al rondò della Cenerentola. Fantastico Florez.

  • @hotqueekboi Not sure if Troll or just ignorant.

  • @hotqueekboi

    Rossini : tenor di grazia!

  • and the crowd goes wild!!!

  • bravissimo *.*..tecnica impeccabile..perfetta..una morbidezza e un timbro eccezzionale...grande florez sul repertorio di rossini è il n 1 !!!!!!!! :)

  • @hotqueekboi yes!But alawys impressive!

  • His voice isn't very strong, is it?

  • Superba interpretazione!

  • ESPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Убогая сценография!

  • Amazing coloratura and totally delicious Diego ...as usual! Ay Papi!

  • Excelente tecnica ,, gran tenor es un deleite escuchar sus operas e interpretaciones.

  • Lui è molto bravo, ma avrebbe dovuto rifiutarsi di collaborare con un regista tanto imbecille!

  • @eurydike Sooo true.
