So I've this for over a week now and it has become the only thing I have been using for vaping. I don't even bother with the USB passthrough anymore because the vaping is that good on the SD MkII, and the battery life also so long, that I don't need to use anything else.

My main gripes with the unit are the button coming loose VERY easily and the juice that came with the package. The button has been designed to be easily removed so that it can be replaced or for cleaning etc However it comes loose so easily that I was finding myself tightening it once every hour and worrying that I was going to drop it and the spring that sits just under the button. At one stage it nearly did drop off and I was lucky I caught it in time. To fix this, I added some craft glue to the under side of the button, where it attaches to the screw. The craft glue won't bind with the metal, so I can unscrew it if I need to but it has given the button much more grip and it hasn't come loose since.

The other thing is the juice, it's the TW 24mg Tobacco flavour and it tastes horrible. It's not the worst flavour in the world but by comparison with all the other flavours available, it is the last choice I would have made to be the one in the box. It is so bad that had I not tried other TW flavours, I would be seriously hesitant about buying other TW liquids. Luckily I know that every other, albeit a couple here and there, TW flavour is absolutely wonderful. It is curious to me why this flavour was used and it is the one thing that really pulls this kit down.

Other than that, there's just a few little pesky things like the neck lanyard can be a little chaffing at times and the two lanyards together sometimes get in the way. However, these are very minor things and not really that bothersome and besides, you can always choose to remove them completely. The rest of the design is awesome, it feels great in my hand, the button position is actually more natural to use than I would have thought and so on.

All in all for the price, which has now been reduced to be comparable with other kits, this is the best big-battery device available right now. Yes, there may be better ones in some people's opinions but they are more expensive when you factor in buying the batteries, atomisers and cartridges.

Like the original motto of the SD, "An e-Cig That Just Works" (paraphrasing there.. :) ) this device lives up to its name. Well worth the cost and the little problems etc.

For more information about this and other e-Cigarettes, as well as the e-juice, hope on over to the Totally Wicked Forums: http://forum.totallywicked-eliquid.co.uk/

  • Totally Wicked USA was Rude and unprofessional with me when I called and dealt with them! NEVER rely on them for honest, forthcoming, helpful customer service!

  • @ShieAyla I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. I am not employed by TW nor have any other association other than having been a customer who did not have an bad experiences with them. You have every right to be mad.. but why take that out on me and my viewers by spamming my TW videos with this message? I'll leave this comment here but will delete the other ones on the other videos.

There are better places for this, like the ECF forum as mention in my reply to dubconor below.

  • Can anyone tell me how long this has been going on? What I mean by this is a sort of counter culture if you will of e smokers, Seems like it has a very solid base and people who are quite fanatical about it, plus been seeing vids about mods etc... Also does anyone have personal experience what the draw to it is, (besides the obvious health benefits) but is there people say who have only ever vaped and never smoked? Is it used to get a solid dizzy feeling from nicotine overdose?

  • @dubconor You best to go and ask these type of open ended and leading questions in forum/bbs spaces rather than here, so that you will get a wide range of answers. The most widely known, and widely used, forum is called ECF or e-cigarette-forum

The draw, as you put it, is to stop or reduce smoking, something so many other "approved" products have failed to do. The draw is that these are the first things that have "consistently" worked for a wide range of individuals.

  • where did you get the string to hold your cap so you dont lose the cap when your vapping? Does the string come with it? Thanks for the great video.

  • @sophiamckenna Hi. Yes it comes with it, along with the one for going around your neck. The most important one of course is the one you mentioned, which protects the button from being pressed when you are not using it.

  • @MRiitta Its not 20 GBP for a new spring, its 4.99 GBP for an entirely new switch mechanism, with that you get a new spring, new button, and new screw. I dont even own one of these I just had a quick glance at their website cause I thought 20 quid for a spring cant be right.

  • I have this screwdriwer bought fromTotally Wicked and it is the most stupid one.

The rear end cap, the one you press to activate the battery, screws open very easily without you noticing it when smoking and you will lose that small spring inside it. And then your screwdriver cannot be used any more.

And the funniest part is that the little spring will cost you 20 BP to get a new one ..

  • @light487 Why? Well to put it simply, people often make their decisions to buy or not to buy from a particular company based on these reviews. I understand why you will take my comment down in other places, as that is your right because they are your videos. I am not bitter, not even toward TW, I merely don't want anyone else to order from them not being aware of a possible problem in the area of customer service. I appreciate you leaving my message up on one video. Thank you for that.

  • @Ejuicereview, It does still happen. Screwing it with a screwdriver was my solution too however I lost the button for about six hours yesterday because it still comes loose even when tightened properly. I now use a touch of superglue on the thread. Problem solved.

  • what are these? are these like smoking cigs? trying to find something to help my dad quit smoking cigs

  • Have you had an issue with the spring in the top coming out? My MKII stops working occasionally as the spring has come loose and I often have to re position it in the green plate behind the rubber gasket.
