lol... put ur guitar on your left knee and it becomes easier to reach all the frets... Look up the Guitar Grimoire for scales and theory it will blow your mind... and look up Michal Angelo Batio and Yngwie Malmsteen for some wicked sweeps, and maybe john petrucci for some chromatical runs, they will buff out your rough edges and make your notes more fluid.

if u know scales and music theory playing will get a alittle easier and it will help greatly when it comes to song writing
