This is a Universal Adapter that will convert your N64/SNES/NES/GENESIS controllers to gamecube port to use with Virtual Console games with the Wii. The adapter is perfect with the exception that the Z and L buttons are switched when playing N64 games. This is because the Wii interprets the N64 controller as a gamecube controller. On the virtual console, gamecube configuration for n64 games have Z and L switched. I recommend this adapter, but I would hold off on buying if you planned on only using it for n64.

  • Is there an N64 converter that interprets it correctly?

  • @HyprdominglFilms not that i know of so far.

  • @flame6753 damn :( what about now?

  • @salisburyschool actually yes! I just ordered it and it should arrive in a few days. I will upload another review of it when I get it. With the new one you should be able to map your L R and Z buttons any way you want!

  • @flame6753: Is this still the main product people get for gamecube adapters? I could careless about the N64 aspect because Wii64 emulator runs like crap. But for a SoftModded Wii with all the 8 / 16 bit emulators this sounds badass since you can remap buttons in the emus anyway.

Are you sure there is no lag? All I read about it was there was a half second delay.

  • @Paperclown probably not. I had found a better adapter afterwards, as seen in the annotations.

whats the new one u got called?? I need to order one asap lol :)

  • Are you CHAiN-ACE on the Smash Boards forum? Cause I read the same review there. ^^

It kinda sucks that the L and Z and switched. But I think I'd prefer the gamecube controller anyways.

  • @flame6753: ah i have captions turned off.. rewatched it and checked out the classic linker.. all that does is let you use psx & ps2? that sucks,i wanted to hookup my real nes/snes and sega

  • @elamorro: It's all over Amazon labeled as "Nintendo 4-in-1 Virtua Retro Adapter" for $12

  • where u buy it? can u pliz tell me the store name or the link to buy this newwe adapter

  • @flame6753 The Classic Linker N64 should work better for you and I'm looking forward to you making the video for it.and EMS (the makers of the Classic Linker) is a good company I purchased thier USB Gamecube Memorycard so I can backup all my GC saves to my PC.I've seen the Classic Linker N64 on Playasia but I may wait for a cheaper price, what did you pay for your Classic Linker N64. I use a PS2 controller for Smash Bros, I got a PS2 Controller Adapter for Wii Remote to use a PS2 pad as a CC.

  • My SNES controller doesn't work. Im trying to play super metroid. Please help!

  • And, I mean the Gtron 4 in 1 adapter.

  • @flame6753 So, you say that it maps it correctly, but does it really? I'm thinking about getting one for N64 VC.
