Jessica M: My New Organ True Stories from Organ Recipients

This is a short video I filmed on a recent trip to China. After suffering a massive heart attack in September '98 at 16 years old and waiting for a heart transplant, I never imagined I'd be standing at the Great Wall of China. To me it's an example of what the incredible generosity of organ and tissue donors make possible every day. My transplant has enabled me to do so many things--working in the field of organ and tissue donation to educate others about the importance of registering, giving motivational speeches around the country to help others overcome adversity. I've had many adventures--from climbing to the top of the Parthenon to zip-lined through the jungles of Costa Rica.

My New Organ brings you true, inspiring stories of organ recipients who have done incredible thing with lives that have been saved or improved in no small part due to people like you who registered to be organ donors. Watch elected officials and everyday citizens tell their stories. Then, tell yours! And register to be a donor.
