GLASS CYLINDER STEAM ENGINE

With a glass cylinder and steam chest top, this engine shows the relationship of the valve to the piston.
It has a 1" bore, stroke of 1.5" and a 4" flywheel and has reverse linkage.
This steam engine is believed to have been used as a training aid, when steam engines were in common use. It is made to be disassembled with only a screw driver.

Sorry, I have no plans. It was manufactured commercially at least 75 years ago.

I did not build it and know nothing about the manufacturer. It was found in an old High School. Don't know who made it.

I noticed no oil in the cylinder, bet you could get it to run slower and smoother with some oil and packing to quiet that leak.
