  • They say Jeff has strangled men to death with his beard for just looking him in the eye.

  • There is absolutely no proof of that. I was never convicted of any of those charges.

  • Thanks Jeff, awesome review as usual. Now I know what my next 1911 purchase is going to be. BTW, is the barrel bushing tight enough to require the bushing wrench? I noticed in your web article photos Colt ships a bushing wrench with that one. Their standard fit 1911s don't come with a wrench.

  • I could turn it without the wrench, but it was pretty tight, so I used the wrench.

  • Wow, no more NM prefix, are the mags stamper NM Jeff ?

  • No, they are not. There are pics of the mags in the referenced review.

  • Sweet pistol! The only thing I would've liked to have seen is a relief cut under the trigger guard to allow a slightly higher grip. Every little bit helps!

  • I bought a Gold cup a couple of years ago (different hammer and beaver grip safety)

and was blown away at the performance at the range. Didn't have to touch the sights or anything and shot better than I ever have by far with any pistol I've ever had. Got me some wooden double diamond grips coming in the mail. Permanent home in the safe-never trade/sell this one.

  • Great gun.Still cant get over the shirt Love It!!

  • very nice

  • I would be curious to try a grip like this one. My Range Officer is smooth, and the rubber grip would be fun to try. I might have to go to the gun shop to see about checking these out . . .
